Jim McKell, chairman of Alton Town, thanks the many Basingstoke Town supporters who journeyed to Alton on Tuesday evening for what turned out to be a thoroughly engaging encounter.

25 year old Nathan Smart has joined Basingstoke Town, on non-contract terms, from Fleet Town.

Frank Gray told the Basingstoke Gazette "Nathan can play in a few positions, at right-back,on the right wing or in the middle. He is a useful addition who can adapt well, which is what we need."
