Goal Keepers - Ross Kitteridge. Ross is a young goalkeeper who has joined Basingstoke Town on work experience from Reading Football Club.
- Chris Waller. Chris is a young goalkeeper and is the dragons number two. He was on the bench on many occasions before finally making his debut at Bury Town in the FA Cup after Ross Kitteridge saw red.
Defenders - Aiden Lewis. Aiden is a promising young right sided defender who joined the club in July 08. Last season he played for Didcot Town and was part of the successful Thatcham youth side.
- Adam Aimiable. Adam is a strong right sided defender who has progressed through the youth and reserve team ranks to become an important part of the first team squad.
- Robbie Watkins. Rob is a solid left sided defender who joined the club in November 06 from Merstham. He started his career with Fulham and also had loan spells at Gravesend and Crawley.
- Jason Bristow. Jason is a strong and dependable defender signed from Reading at the start of the millennium season where he was captain of the second team. Equally at home on the right or at the heart of the defence. Has played in the England non league side and represented the South East Counties league. When not playing Jason works full time for the club in the community office.
- Joe Dolan. An imposing central defender who joined the club in July 06 after being released by Canvey Island. Joe is a former Ireland U21 international who started his career with Chelsea and then spent seven years with Millwall making 64 appearances and scoring 4 goals. He has also represented Leyton Orient, Stockport County, Crawley and Fisher Athletic. Won last years supporters player of the season.
- Sean Hankin. Sean is a solid defender who joined the club in the summer of 07 from Farnborough Town. He started his career with Crystal Palace making his league debut in March 2000. Sean also played professionally for Torquay United before turning to non league football with Margate, Northwich Victoria, Crawley, Lewes and St Albans.
- Miles Mitchell Coop. Miles is a young defender who joined the club in November 08. He has spent most of his career at M K Dons progressing through the youth and reserve team ranks before being released at the end of last season. Has also played for Wivenhoe Town.
Midfielders - Sam Tucknott. Sam is a skillful pacey right sided midfield player who joined the club in August 08. He started his career with Crystal Palace before moving to Wycombe Wanderers. He is an England Futsal International and has also represented Wales at U17 level.
- Sido Jombarti. Portuguese born Sido is an exciting midfield player who joined the club in July 08 having spent last season at Weymouth. Prior to that in his native Portugal he spent six years at Sporting Lisbon, three years at Casa Pia Atletico Clube and two years at Ass Torre.
- Tom Williamson. Tom is a combatative midfield player who joined the club in July 08. He started his career with his home town club Leicester at the age of nine and played youth, reserve and first team football. Has also represented England at U15 and U18 level. Non league clubs include Canvey Island, Grays and Bishops Stortford.
- Tom Hateley. Tom is on loan from Reading Football Club, Midfield man who was formerly captain of the Royals' youth team and is son of former England man Mark Hateley. His grandfather Tony played for Liverpool among others.
- Jide Ogunbote. Jide is a promising young midfield player who joined the club in August 08. He spent last year with Woking and prior to that was with Aldershot Town and Fulham.
- Jerome Maledon. Signed for the club in October 2008. Jerome is a hard tackling, athletic midfielder who can break up attacks as well as burst forward. He was released by Woking in August 2008 and prior to that played for Lewisham.
- Matt Warner. Matt is a pacey left sided player who joined the club in July 06 from Farnborough Town. He was no stranger to the Dragons supporters having been at the club on loan from Wycombe Wanderers during the 2003/2004 season. Has also played for Team Bath.
Strikers - Ross Montague. Ross is on loan from Brentford Football Club. 19 year old Ross progressed from the youth team, making his first team debut in April 2007, and signing a professional contract with Brentford for the 2007/8 season, He spent loan periods at Sutton Utd and Welling Utd, before making several appearances for Brentford last season.
- Allan Tait. Allan is on loan from Eastbourne Borough Football Club, Signed for Eastbourne in 2006 from Canvey Island, having also played for Crawley Town and previous to that with Folkestone Invicta. He began his career as a junior with Tottenham Hotspur.
- David Tarpey. David is an exciting young prospect who became a regular in the first team squad last season after giving many impressive performances for the reserve team. Started his career with Crystal Palace.
- Phil Ruggles. Phil is a strong experienced striker who joined the club in July 08. His past clubs include Carshalton, Walton and Hersham, Woking, Leatherhead, Kingstonian and Molesey.
- Kelvin Bossman. Kelvin is on work experience from Reading Football Club. The 17 year-old Kelvin has been with Reading as a schoolboy since 2002, and was in the Ghana squad for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, Korea 2007.
