Coaches and Managers Required

Basingstoke Town Ladies FC are the most successful women’s football club in North Hampshire and are seeking to completely revolutionise their management structure for the 2010-2011 season.

We are looking for ambitious coaches and managers to work with our exciting and talented players across our first and reserve teams playing in Southern Region Women’s League Division 1 and Hampshire County Women’s League Division 2 respectively.

The club is ambitious and the players are committed and keen to improve and strengthen their game. Our first team have progressed well over the past few seasons, gaining promotion to the Southern Region in 2009 and were challenging for promotion again by the end of their first season in the league. They are keen to push on with their development and progress as far as possible through the women’s football pyramid. The first team is supported by a reserve team, which won promotion last season from the third to the second division in only their 3rd season in existence.

The new management structure will be designed around the personnel we recruit, and we welcome applications from people who would like to be considered as coaches, managers, directors of football or combinations thereof. We would also welcome applications from seasoned coach-manager partnerships.

Applicants should ideally have FA coaching qualifications and experience with coaching/managing successful football teams (men’s, women’s or youth). Most importantly, however, we are looking for people who will be committed, driven and passionate about creating an environment where our players can excel as much as a team as they can as individuals.

We usually hold one training session per week, mid week in central Basingstoke and matches are played on Sunday afternoons. Whilst home matches are in central Basingstoke, away games for the reserve team are played all over Hampshire and for the first team are played all over the Southern Region (which comprises the counties of Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire & Buckinghamshire).

Our management and coaching team will be backed by a dedicated committee made up of player’s and volunteers, who take on the majority of the administrative workload, leaving the coaches/managers to focus on training, team selection and tactics.

This is an exciting opportunity to take Basingstoke Town Ladies FC to the next level, and if you believe that you can help us achieve our ambitions, we would like to hear from you.
